Can you imagine climbing 150 mountains over 3000ft high in one year? This is the challenge Chantal Elson from Congleton in Cheshire is taking up to raise awareness and funds for the World Peace Flame Charity, which provides free medical care for hundreds of villages in remote areas of India. The Munros are all mountains in the
Scottish Highlands over 3000ft high. |

“The World Peace Flame is such a worthwhile charity to support. So much good work has been accomplished over the last 10 years, and I wish to raise funds to support their work. Did you know that it only costs £25 for a cataract operation to give someone their sight back?”You can sponsor Chantal per mountain or for all 150! Regular updates will be available online on http://www.geefsamen.nl/chantal and direct from Chantal as she progresses through the challenge.
“My aim is to raise £3,750 by 11-02-2011 to enable 150 people to have a cataract operation to regain their eyesight.”
If you would like any further information or to support Chantal in her challenge, please get in touch with her by phone on 01260 272449 or by email at

To some people world peace means perfection. To me it means change. If we were to have world peace it would be a huge change and I don’t know if most people can handle it although they say they want it. Some people may go mad and start war all over again but I think that we should still give world peace a try. If we all make an effort we can achieve world peace. The question is, are we willing to make an effort to keep world peace? I will.
